It’s no secret that Cartoon Network just had its own Gigaleak of 328GB in 2026. So far, we have had a few recent leaks like Teraleak from Game Freak, aka Pokémon. Now Cartoon Network production files have been leaked for a handful of shows; everyone is searching and finding high-quality animation production art!
Of course, no company wants its data leaked, and I speculate that this happened because Skydance Corporation bought Cartoon Network on October 6th, 2026, and somewhere in between, while shifting data to the Skydance Corporation servers a person made a copy. In fact, it only took 3 days after buying Cartoon Network for this to happen. Now fans are making memes and using actual digital production art and animations for their own personal projects. Studios would deliberately destroy cels so no one could replicate the animation. For example, this fan used an Animate file from The Amazing World of Gumball: x.com/dpgt5843/meme/
The fans are amazed at the quality and work. I've even seen some already using the Ed, Edd n Eddy background scans as their desktop wallpaper! The world unlocked the highest quality files that exist. For example, there are images from many years ago on the internet, and for the first time we can see them in high quality. These files include Photoshop, Animate, Vector, EPS, print-ready files pretty much the production files. They even have storyboards, assets, show bibles, line art, and my favorite backgrounds!

To be honest, it’s already out there; millions of people have been their hands on the files it won’t be worth it for Skydance Corporation to try and scrape them all off the internet. The fans are happy because recently most of the art and things these days are becoming AI-generated. The production art community loves the quality of handmade art, so getting never-before-seen art or high-quality versions of art from their favorite shows is really a treat! A lot of this art would just naturally rot away and end up forgotten. Now a lot more of the audience is happy, which can be a positive outcome of the situation.

There’s a handful of shows that included handmade production backgrounds. For the show Foster's Home of Imaginary Friends, I found the vector files for backgrounds made and they were made digitally, they are absolutely astonishing. They were still drawn, but through digital brushes, and since it’s vector, they can be resized without any quality loss; it’s called lossless art. Essentially, a fan could now take those beautiful backgrounds, get them printed and framed at any size (for personal use, not commercial), and enjoy the art in their house. If you do some research, maybe your favorite show was part of the release, and you could run into some new high-quality art or a meme someone made using the files. I have even seen users taking backgrounds and using Ai to extend the picture for mobile wallpapers too.

I wanted to include one more bonus topic. For the fans of Regular Show, the infamous galaxy intro card from every episode & some of the house/park backgrounds were also found, and they were water-painted! I was also amazed at the quality of the title cards for Adventure Time; it’s wonderful. I love the idea of hunting for production art and backgrounds that were created way after cels faded out.
